I refer to your request of 5 July 2023 to Waipapa Taumata Rau, the
University of Auckland. The University’s response follows:

 

“Does the university have any minutes, notes, or documents regarding a
transition from FYHS entry to only post-grad entry for MbChb”

 

The University does hold such documents, as it has taken steps to consider
the pros and cons of moving to postgraduate professional Health degrees
and the subsequent development of a revised undergraduate degree. For

To avoid doubt, the University has not made any decision to transition to
graduate-only entrance for the MBChB programme. Any decision of this kind
would have very substantial impacts on the University’s programmes and
would have been clearly communicated to staff, students and other
stakeholders.
