2023 regarding MOU with Hiringa Energy.

 

2.     Council received your request on 5 May 2023, and we are now able to
provide you with Napier City Council’s response.

 

3.     You requested:

 

In 2022, Napier Port signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with New
Zealand zero emissions hydrogen specialists Hiringa Energy to investigate
renewable energy initiatives involving the use of green hydrogen. May I
kindly request the full copy of the MOU.

 

We have decided to decline your request under section 17(g) of the Local
Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 – that the
information is not held by the local authority and reasonably believed not
to be held by or more closely associated with the functions of another
Council, Ministry of the Crown or organisation as defined under the Local
Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 or the Official
Information Act 1982.

 

Although Napier Port is not obligated under the Local Government Official
Information and Meetings Act 1987 or the Official Information Act 1982, we
