Dear Mr Decio

 

I understand this OIA request follows a similar request you made to our
general correspondence address at [1][RNZ request email] the day before.

 

As you are no doubt aware, the entry form you signed (copy attached)
stipulated that  "The panel’s decision is final and no correspondence will
be entered into".

 

In response to your request for information regarding RNZ's
representatives on the panel we advise that the position on the panel is
rotated between RNZ personnel with decades of experience in producing
classical music for broadcast. 

 

While your OIA request inquires after the RNZ " ...representative who
selected the NZ Composer Sessions compositions for 2023 in liaison with
CANZ and the NZSO", what in fact occurred was a panel decision and it was
not a selection made by an RNZ representative.

 

RNZ holds no further information with respect to that process and as SOUNZ
has indicated in their application form, " no correspondence will be
entered into".

 

As we are required to do, this message is to also advise you that our
response to your request can be referred to the Ombudsman’s Office for
review under s 28 (3) of the Official Information Act if you wish.
