Further to my email dated 17 March 2023 in which I advised of the decision
on your request, I am now able to provide you with a formal response.

 

In your email received on 17 February 2023 you requested the following:

 

“Please provide the cost that WCC has invested in Tâkina Wellington
Convention and Exhibition Centre.

 

I gather this project might have a shared funding model, I am only
interested in the WCC costs.”

 

The initial Council for the project was $163.1m.

 

However; as a result of cost pressures, an additional $5.75m was
recommended and approved by the Long-term Plan, Finance, and Performance
Committee on 23 February 2023.
