Dear Noah,

I refer to your request of 28 January 2023. As consultations necessary to
make a decision on your request are such that a response cannot reasonably
be given within the original time limit, the University has extended the
time limit for your request under section 15A(1)(b) of the OIA. The new
maximum time limit for the University’s response is 13 March 2023; we will
respond to your request as soon as reasonably practicable. You have the
right to make a complaint to an Ombudsman if you are dissatisfied with
this extension.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Landon Watt,

I believe my request was misinterpreted.

Part 3 of my request asked for “Internal staff guides for Waiparuru Hall”, this does not relate to the offer of placement process. These can include copies of guides/documentation/knowledge base used by staff to manage Waiparuru Hall.

Yours sincerely,

Noah Fitzgerald

Dear Noah,

I refer to your email of 10 March 2023. Unfortunately, as consultations
necessary to make a decision on your request for internal staff guides for
Waiparuru Hall are such that a response cannot reasonably be given within
the original time limit, the University has extended the time limit for
your request under section 15A(1)(b) of the OIA. The new maximum time
limit for the University’s response is 9 May 2023; we will respond to your
request as soon as reasonably practicable. You have the right to make a
complaint to an Ombudsman if you are dissatisfied with this extension.

Dear Noah,

I refer to your email of 10 March 2023. Unfortunately, your request for
internal staff guides for Waiparuru Hall is very broad, covers a large
amount of material, and would take an excessive amount of staff time to
process. Please advise whether you are willing to narrow your request to
an area of interest and, if so, what this is. If you are unwilling to
narrow your request then it is likely that the University will refuse it
under section 18(f) of the Official Information Act, on the basis that the
information required cannot be provided without substantial collation or
research.
