The request was successful.

Dear New Zealand Police,
I noted https://www.police.govt.nz/news/release/...
Deputy Commissioner Glenn Dunbier is made an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit (ONZM) for services to New Zealand Police and the community.
Senior Sergeant Cliff Metcalfe, of Northland District, is made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) for services to Police and Search and Rescue.
Both were nominated for honours by Police.
In your statement you have said, “ Both were nominated for honours by Police.”
May I understand how does nz police determine who to nominate for Honours? What is your internal police or procedure involved. Please supply your internal policy and procedures involved in making such Honours nomination decision. Do you have a committee making these decisions? If so, please provide name of the committee member.
Yours faithfully,
john luke
