The process to obtain a square motorcycle plate will differ depending on
the current plate status:

 

Plate currently registered to a motorcycle

 

If you have a motorcycle that is currently registered and you would like
the standard plate, remade into a square plate, you will need to contact
[1]LicenSys. (plate manufacturer).

 

New number plate obtained from a plate agent

 

If you have registering a motorcycle or obtaining a replacement
registration plate from a plate agent (AA, VTNZ, VINZ), you will need to
ask the agent to order a square plate with the new number sequence. Please
note: Agents do not hold stock of square plates and they will need to
complete the order request.
