I note in your contract information spread sheet that you have an entry for
103-15-072-PS CYCLING AND WALKING MEDIA ADVISOR PS SIMPLY BRILLIANT COMMUNICATIONS $60,000.00 Direct Appmt 2 September 2014
Simply brilliant communications limited ceased to exist in 2006,Simply brilliant communications is not a legal person it is at best a trading name .
Please advise by way of OIA who the legal persons are who are party to this contract and why they are not named on the contracts list in the interest of transparency also please advise
what their experience is and how they were selected for this contract.

thank you but an open transparent democratic council needs to show who they are contracting to and trading names need to be defined. Please advise who the contractor is and why are they trading anonymously.
If we all worked under trading names the place would come to a stand still.

Good afternoon Ms Haden,
Thank you for your response to Auckland Transport dated the 1^st of
December 2014 regarding contract information.
We confirm that the name of the Principal of Simply Brilliant
Communications is withheld under Section 7(2)a to “protect the privacy of
natural persons” and this interest is not “outweighed by other
considerations which render it desirable, in the public interest, to make
that information available”.
We would also like to reiterate that you have the right in accordance with
section 27(3) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings
Act 1987 (LGOIMA) to make a complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman if
you are not satisfied with our response.
