Will new surveillance system be used for parking or speeding enforcement?

Dear Auckland Transport,

According to an article in Stuff today, Auckland Transport is installing a mass-surveillance system using cameras and automated number-plate recognition ("Sophisticated surveillance coming to Auckland", Stuff, 1 Oct 2014). I would like to request the following information under the LGOIMA:

* Are there any plans to use this system for parking enforcement? If so, I would like all advice on this.
* Are there any plans to use this system for speeding enforcement? If so, I would like all advice on this.

I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about
this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the
fyi.org.nz website.
