Dear New Zealand Trade and Enterprise,

I request the following information concerning the New Zealand Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

New Zealand DJ, DJ Sir-Vere was selected for a role at the expo which consisted of “hyping up the vibe to encourage passers-by to stop and enjoy the artists at work”

Please provide all communications, including but not limited to emails, texts and phone calls etc relating to the nomination, selection and appointment of DJ Sir Vere as the successful DJ chosen for the NZ Pavillon in Dubai.

Please provide all details and information relating to the DJ shortlist of potential DJ’s. If no shortlist was created, please explain the reasoning. If DJ Sir Vere was recommended, please provide all details and information concerning that recommendation.

Please provide all communications including but not limited to texts, emails and phone calls between NZTE, its managers and anyone at all associated with World expo and Clarke Gayford.

Please provide the name of the person, title and role, responsible for the appointment of DJ Sir Vere at the Dubai expo.

Please provide all details of DJ Sir Vere’s remuneration package. Including but not limited to, flights, transport, accomodation (name of hotel), performance fee, length of contract.

This email is acknowledge receipt of your Official Information Act 1982
request (the Act) to New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, dated 9 December
2022 and received 12 December 2022. You requested:

 

o Please provide all communications, including but not limited to
emails, texts and phone calls etc relating to the nomination,

o Please provide all details and information relating to the DJ

In accordance with the Act, NZTE will make a decision on your request as
soon as reasonably practicable and within 20 working days of 12 December
2022. Please note that as the Act does not include the time period between
25 December and 15 January as working days, the latest date for a decision
on your request is 30 January 2023.

We are writing to update you on your OIA request to NZTE for information
about DJ Sir Vere at Expo 2020 Dubai and any communications with Clarke
Gayford.

 

We are extending the time to make a decision on your request to 17
February 2023. We will endeavour to respond to you sooner with this being
the latest date for a decision. This extension is made under section
15A(1)(a), as the request necessitates a search through a large quantity
of information.

 

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of
