Screening of Blood

Jai Ganesh made this Official Information request to New Zealand Blood and Organ Service

The request was successful.

From: Jai Ganesh

Dear New Zealand Blood Service,

I was wondering what you guys screen donated blood for before adding it to the blood supply? I ask because a couple has been denied the use of unvaccinated blood from approved donors in their baby's operation.

Are you screening for changes in the blood when compared to 2018. Do you test for residual spike proteins? Can you guarantee that the blood in the blood supply does not contain spike proteins, the MRNA or any byproducts of the Pfizer vaccine? Is it tested for microclots or changes in it's structure? The vaccine is not approved for babies so the blood should be pristine.

Given the media apparatus does not report on possible changes to the blood and there is only 'one source of truth' I feel something might be going amiss. NZ has not reported on excess mortality or all cause mortality rates since 2019 which is odd so data is being obfuscated, accidentally or intentionally. When we look at official numbers overseas, we see a rise in clotting, cancers and 'sudden death'

I am a donor myself and happily donate to those that need it - jabbed or unjabbed and believe that if the above is not being tested for then there is a lack of transparency and complete information and therefore people can't make an informed choice.

Yours faithfully,

Jai Ganesh

We test blood for a range of infections (most important Hepatitis B and C
and HIV) but also others based on the response to the health and behaviour
questions we ask donors, but also for blood groups and various other tests
related to specialist products.  We do not test for any of the specific
issues you ask about.  Our quality control process would pick up any clots
that are of clinical significance.

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of
this decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available at
