Innovation & Employment (MBIE), requesting the following under the
Official Information Act 1982 (the Act):

 

Can you please provide a list of all government contractors that have

MBIE and New Zealand Government Procurement (NZGP) does not hold the
information you have requested with regard to contractor spend across
government. Contracts can be sourced through many different methods, such
as a tender through our Government Electronic Tender Service (GETS)
platform, a secondary procurement panel like our All-of-Government (AoG)
contracts or Department of Internal Affairs GCDO Assurance Services Panel,
or direct sourcing by individual agencies. NZGP holds the spend
information from our AoG contracts, but does not have any visibility of
contract or spend information for other agencies. Our GETS portal is a
sourcing tool, and any contract values listed there are indicative spend
only. Award notices from our GETS portal are published as Open Data every
quarter on our website:

As it is worded, we may have to refuse your request under section 18(g) of
the Act, because the information is not held by the Ministry. However,
before doing so, we wanted to ensure we understood your request correctly.

 

MBIE’s spend on contractors and consultants can be found in our responses
to questions in our Annual Review (2020/21 can be found [2]here:

on page 39, while 2021/22 will be published soon), these questions also
provide information about contracts MBIE has awarded with a whole life of
$1 million of more (page 42).
