Banks & Government Super Profits
Chris McCashin made this Official Information request to Jacinda Ardern
This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Chris McCashin to read recent responses and update the status.
From: Chris McCashin
Dear Jacinda Ardern,
The question I would pose to you is you may be operating as other governments are but are you demonstrating social license, are you demonstrating a commitment to the communities that you are serving by taking taxes like you are in the current times. Would you consider yourself to be operating in the parameters and the rules that are currently set?
Or would you say that you continue to change the rules, add more taxes, make it harder to be productive. We are seeing repeated attempts to tax Kiwis and I think questions need to be asked as to management of this government and whether you are serving communities well.
- GST on kiwisaver
- Emissions trading for farmers
- Subsidising people into Teslas that are clearly have money
- Targeting farmers when the governments portfolio is run at a 1.6% ROE but is subsidised by the taxpayer
- Millions being farmed out under the guise of Covid-19 when there is no accountability of where this money has gone - lots of consultants
- The destruction of businesses over the last couple of years
- Decimation of public finances
Would you say you are serving your communities well?
Please provide the governments revenue attributed to all taxes for the years since you have been in power - can you break it down into the various components of tax GST, fuel, PAYE, business, emissions - please break it down into all the tax categories
Actually make it the following years
2014 - 2022
It seems to me - the government is not operating with a social conscious and should really stop taking from the citizens of New Zealand
Yours faithfully,
Chris
