+ sign causing issues with sigins for AT park
Hemant made this Official Information request to Auckland Transport
The request was partially successful.
From: Hemant
Dear Auckland Transport,
When signing into the AT Park app, the + sign in an email address can cause problems. Can I get details on why it was decided to not include a standard character for email addresses isn't supported?
Yours faithfully,
Hemant

Auckland Transport
Kia ora Hemant,
My name is Samira, LGOIMA Business Partner at Auckland Transport,
responsible for looking into your LGOIMA request dated 15 October 2022
regarding the use of the special character for email addresses using the
AT Park application.
The LGOIMA requires that we let you know our decision on your request no
later than 20 working days after the day we received your request.
Unfortunately, it won’t be possible to meet that time limit and we are
therefore letting you know of an extension of the time to make our
decision, to 28 November 2022.
This extension is necessary because consultations with a third party are
necessary to make a decision on your request. Therefore, a proper response
cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit.
You are able to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this
decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available at
[1]www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800 802 602.
