Dear Auckland Council,
Earlier this year a decision was made by Judge Maria Pecotic regarding a dog named Zeus who had bitten the hand of someone trying to pat him.
However the Auckland Council appealed that decision and ultimately the dog was ordered destroyed.
My question is what was the financial cost due to the Auckland Council appealing that decision.

requested information related to the Financial Cost for Auckland Council
to appeal decision.
Our legal services team have provided the following response:
This appeal was largely handled by inhouse solicitors in Council’s Legal
Services team. Council incurred costs for one external legal invoice from
Meredith Connell for $675.
Decisions about this response to your request were made by Christian
Brown, Manager Regulatory & Enforcement.
