Dear Sir/Madam,

I refer to your request for:

I request under OIA please the position descriptions and salary bands for
the mayors office staff

Council response

The Council’s structure now uses a combined Office of the Mayor and Chief
Executive (OMCE). This means that some staff are not dedicated solely to
the Mayor and perform functions for other elected members,  the Chief
Executive or across the Council.  For example, the Head of OMCE is
responsible for two other separate teams - the Official Information Team
and the Civic & International Relations Team. Additionally some positions
are not filled by full time employees and there a number of vacancies
currently.

We set out below the positons in OMCE most directly involved in supporting
the Mayor.  Note the attached position descriptions and salary bands are
based of full time equivalent:

·         0.5 FTE - Head of the Office of the Mayor and Chief Executive
($139,616- $186,154)

·         Vacant - Principal Mayoral Advisor ($121,665-$162,219)

·         1.5 FTE - Principal Policy Advisor ($95,673-$127,564)

·         1 FTE - Executive Assistant to the Mayor and Team Leader
Business Support ($78,889 - $105,185)

·         1 FTE - Mayoral Support & Invites Coordinator ($64,697-$86,262)

·         1 FTE - Executive Assistant to the Deputy Mayor
($64,697-$86,262)

You have the right to request the Ombudsman to review this decision.
Complaints can be sent by email to [1][email address], by fax
to (04) 471 2254, or by post to The Ombudsman, PO Box 10152, Wellington
6143.

Kind regards,

Sean
