Nora Shayeb made this Official Information request to Whangarei District Council

The request was partially successful.

From: Nora Shayeb

Tena koe WDC,

On the 31st of March 2021 I lodged the submission of the Northland Toxin Awareness Group (NTAG) to the 2021-2031 LTP, which was signed by 75 supporters.
I request information on whether our submission, asking for a moratorium on all aerial and roadside spraying with toxic chemical pesticides, and/or the subject of integrated roadside weed management and the minimization of the use of toxic pesticides in public places, has been on the agenda of any council meetings up to this date.
If so, I request the minutes of these meetings.

Nga mihi,
Nora Shayeb
Coordinator of the NTAG

Dear Emily Thompson,

many thanks for your reply. In the documents you have sent I could not find a mention that related directly to our submission, which was signed by 75 supporters.

This is truly disappointing and does not serve to assure us of a democratic government.

Yours sincerely,

Nora Shayeb
