From: Christina Woo

Dear Auckland Grammar,

I would like to find out the breakdown of the out of zone new entrants (Year 9) at Auckland Grammar School between 2018-2022. (i.e. Final year data for 2018-2021 and data as at current date for 2022.)

Total numbers of applicants, total numbers of places offered and accepted, including a breakdown by order of priority plus the general ballot. Many thanks.

Yours faithfully,

Christina Wu

Dear Executive Assistant,

Thanks very much for your reply. Much appreciated.

I have two questions on the information provided and hope you could shed light on them.

1. From 2018 to 2021, the "Total Out of Zone acceptance" numbers are exactly the sum of the numbers accepted in all Priorities and the number accepted in General Ballot. However, in 2022, it's not the case. I wonder whether the "Total Out of Zone acceptance" for 2022 should be 144 (i.e. 81+63) instead of 130?
2. The note under the table says "Key: number offered/number accepted". I wonder whether it should be the other way round and should read "Key: number accepted/number offered"?

Kind regards
Christina Wu

Yours sincerely,

Christina Woo

Dear Christina
Confirming receipt of your email.

On behalf of Mr O'Connor you are right about number accepted and number offered. The School accepted 130 places in 2022.

Debbie
