Datasets used for Housing Assessment for the Auckland Region
Andrew Punnett made this Official Information request to Auckland Council
This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Andrew Punnett to read recent responses and update the status.
From: Andrew Punnett
Dear Auckland Council,
Within your "Housing Assessment for the Auckland Region" you asses the total net infill capacity, total net redevelopment capacity, and feasible development capacity under two different models. I'd like to produce some interactive 3D maps that visualise these data sets, so that I can get a better sense of where future development is likely to occur. Therefore, please could you send me the geospatial datasets that were generated in order to produce the report. A dataset that indicates the height and total coverage for each property under each of the scenerios would be ideal.
If there is an easier way for me to access this data, or if you have a similar dataset that is easier to access, then please let me know. I don't want to create a lot of extra work for your team.
Yours faithfully,
Andrew Punnett
From: Andrew Punnett
Dear Auckland Council,
During the planning committee meeting on 20th June 2022 there was a presentation that discussed the building height controls for the city centre. The presentation included some excellent renderings that really helped illustrate the impact of the different options. I'd like to do the same thing, but extended across the whole of Auckland. Perhaps the team that prepared the presentation has the appropriate datasets that they could share with me.
Yours faithfully,
Andrew Punnett

Dear Auckland Council,
In my previous message I referred to a planning committee meeting on the 20th June 2022. I meant the meeting on the 30th June 2022.
Sorry for the confusion.
Yours faithfully,
Andrew Punnett
