Dear Ministerial Services,
Please note that your assumption on using the title Mr is incorrect and offensive in response. Please do not assume gender or pronouns as male if they are unknown. I am surprised in 2022 to see such a large government agency use titles in this way.
I look forward to your response.
Yours sincerely,
J Buckingham

Kia ora,
Thank you for your email. Please accept our sincere apologies for using the incorrect title in response to you and for the offense caused. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and completely agree that the assumption of pronouns is unacceptable. As a team we will work to ensure this doesn't happen in the future.
Thank you again for raising this with us.
