Platinum Jubilee NZ

Unmesh Kant Shah made this Official Information request to Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet

Currently waiting for a response from Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, they must respond promptly and normally no later than (details and exceptions).

From: Unmesh Kant Shah

Dear Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet,
It has been two months and no new information about the Jubilee celebrations in New Zealand has been released. In a reply to an earlier FYI request, it was said that, apart from the tree planting and beacon lighting, there will be other events too in Aotearoa celebrating the Platinum Jubilee. What events have been planned?

Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom have all announced a series of events that will take place during the Jubilee weekend in June, and throughout the Platinum Jubilee year. New Zealand should also make public the events that will take place in the country throughout the Jubilee year, celebrating the Queen's seventy years of service to Aotearoa New Zealand. When will the New Zealand Platinum Jubilee programme be unveiled?

Events such as parades, exhibitions, concerts, illuminations, renaming places after Her Majesty, are among the many options through which we can mark this important milestone. What options are being considered?

Yours faithfully,
Unmesh Kant Shah
