if the documents are large, you can contact the administrator of FYI to arrange for the files to be uploaded to this site. MOJ have previously done this where the file it was ~39 MB.
It would be great if the information can be upload rather than via a Box option.

My suggestion to the requester here is not to sign up to Box in order to access the information, but to respond to MBIE on this site and tell them that if the documents are large, they can contact the administrator of FYI to arrange for the files to be uploaded to this site. MOJ have previously done this where the file it was trying to send me was ~39 MB.
I'd argue that by making your OIA request via FYI you are implicitly expressing a preference under section 16 of the Act for the information to be provided to you via an upload of information to this site. Section 16(2) of the OIA only permits departments to not comply with this preference if doing so would:
(a) impair efficient administration; or
(b) be contrary to any legal duty of the department or venture or Minister of the Crown or organisation in respect of the document; or
(c) prejudice the interests protected by section 6 or section 7 or section 9 and (in the case of the interests protected by section 9) there is no countervailing public interest.
If MBIE refuse to do this and insist on you accessing the information via Box, complain to the Ombudsman.
