between Solomon Islands Policing Support Programme Team Leader Inspector
Mike Cook and Police National Headquarters, dated since 22 November.

To enable Police to respond to your request, please identify the

If your request is not refined it may prove necessary to refuse your

Dear Ministerial Services,

Thanks for your follow up.

In regards to your request that I "please identify the individuals or groups whose correspondence you wish to include in this request," I'd like to propose narrowing my request to:

Copies of all email communications between Solomon Islands Policing Support Programme Team Leader Inspector Mike Cook and
- Police Inspector Dave Rose
- Any other senior managers in the International Service Group in Police National Headquarters

for the period 22 November 2021 to 13 December 2021.

Please let me know if this new scope is workable.

Yours sincerely,

Scott

Dear Ministerial Services,

On 13 January I received your message asking me to narrow the scope of my 13 December OIA request. I responded with a proposed refined request the next day - but never got any acknowledgement from Police that this had been received and if Police think this refined request will be suitable.

Can you please let me know if my refined request, which was for:

"Copies of all email communications between Solomon Islands Policing Support Programme Team Leader Inspector Mike Cook and
- Police Inspector Dave Rose
- Any other senior managers in the International Service Group in Police National Headquarters

for the period 22 November 2021 to 13 December 2021."

has been received and will be getting a response from Police?

Yours sincerely,

Scott

Tēnā koe Scott

I refer to your request of 13 December 2021 for the following information:

I would like to make a request for copies of all email communicaitons
between Solomon Islands Policing Support Programme Team Leader Inspector
Mike Cook and Police National Headquarters, dated since 22 November

I have been asked to advise you that Police requires an extension of time
in which to respond to your request, pursuant to section 15A(1) of the
Official Information Act  1982 (OIA). Specifically, section 15A(1)(a), the
request is for a large quantity of official information or necessitates a
search through a large quantity of information and meeting the original
time limit would unreasonably interfere with the operations of the
organisation.

Police requires until 28 February 2022 to provide a substantive response
to your request. We are endeavouring to provide this to you as soon as
possible.

You have the right, under section 28(3) of the OIA, to make a complaint to
an Ombudsman about this extension.

If you wish to discuss any aspect of your request with us, including this
decision, please feel free to contact
[1][email address].

Kind regards,

Catherine
