Dear Porirua City Council

Maps of natural hazards are included in online maps for the proposed
district plan. One of the GIS layers relates to ‘’Coastal Hazard -
Inundation’’.

Please provide me with the following information:
- the method, or methods, and the source of data, used to map the seaward
extent of this GIS polygon defining the Coastal Hazard - Inundation.
- in the compilation of the GIS data to accompany the online version of
the proposed district plan, did the council consider using the seaward
limit of the Coastal Hazard Inundation polygon as a ‘proxy’ for MHWS.
- if the answer is yes, provide all information about the scope and
outcome of that consideration by PCC.
- if the answer is no, provide all information about the relevant decision
making so I can determine if the omission to use the Coastal Hazard -
Inundation polygon was deliberate or an oversight.
