I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the fyi.org.nz website.

Thank you for the request you made on 12 November 2021 under the Official Information Act. The Ministry would like to clarify the time period for the information you're interested in. In April 2018, the Government announced the decision to end offshore oil and gas exploration and also committed to carry out another three rounds of onshore Block Offer. Are you interested in all applicable information since the offshore ban was announced or advice and communications of any plans to set end date for oil and gas exploration and extraction around COP26?
Kind regards

The latter. While I expect the issue will have come up generally over the last three years, its the COP26 context I am interested in.
