MB ChB rural origins sub-category boundaries

Judith Malcolm made this Official Information request to University of Otago

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Judith Malcolm to read recent responses and update the status.

From: Judith Malcolm

Dear University of Otago,

Could you please confirm whether Wainui Primary School, 492 Waitoki Rd, Wainui 0871, was within your 2021 rural boundaries (as per your eVision portal criteria), and therefore eligible for the rural origins sub-category.

Unfortunately the "Geographic Classification Health" map you provide on your website does not provide certainty as to whether addresses close to the boundaries on your map, are eligible for the rural sub-category. You have previously advised that this information is only available when applications are being processed. However, this is a critical piece of information in deciding whether to make an application to your institution hence this OIA request. The purpose of the Official Information Act is to help promote openness and transparency in decisions made by organisations such as universities, so I look forward to receiving this information.

Yours faithfully,

Ms Malcom
