The Official Information Act requires us to make a decision as soon as practicable, In this case the Ministry requires additional time to respond to your request. The reason for this extension is that consultations necessary to make a decision on the request are such that a proper response to the request cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit.

You will receive a decision on your request no later than 2 December 2021, earlier if possible. Please note we will work to get you a response as soon as we can.

You have the right, under section 28(3) of the OIA, to make a complaint to an Ombudsman about this extension.
