Matakana Fire - Operational Review (2)

Alan Thompson made this Official Information request to Fire and Emergency New Zealand

Currently waiting for a response from Fire and Emergency New Zealand, they must respond promptly and normally no later than (details and exceptions).

From: Alan Thompson

Dear Fire and Emergency New Zealand,

On Dec 13th 2020 a fire broke out in forestry block on Matakana Island. This fire took over a week to control and extinguish burning over 40ha. In May 2021 I requested a copy of the Operational Review that FENZ undertook with respect to this fire. In early June you advised that it report was "still in its early stages ".

It is now 9 months since this fire and some 5 months since you commenced the preparation of a review. I expect it would be reasonable to assume this eport is now completed.

Under the provisions of the Official Information Act I request a copy of the Operational Review of the Matakana fie that occurred on 13 Dec 2020.

Yours faithfully,

Alan Thompson
