Reviews of capacity to manage COVID-19 outbreaks; Crowne Plaza case review
Harold made this Official Information request to Ministry of Health
Ministry of Health did not have the information requested.
From: Harold
Dear Ministry of Health,
In a 24 June letter to Associate Minister of Health Dr Ayesha Verrall, the Strategic COVID-19 Public Health Advisory Group advised that “the contact tracing capacity of public health units needs to be reviewed...” If this review has been completed, I request a copy.
The same letter advised the minister that “there needs to be a review of health system capacity and management systems for dealing with possible large outbreaks of COVID-19.” If this review has been completed, I request a copy of this as well.
Finally, a 25 August update on the Ministry of Health website stated that “an additional testing requirement is being introduced to Managed Isolation Facilities… This is a recommendation following the review of the Crowne Plaza case.” I request a copy of this review.
Yours faithfully,
Harold
