Address for Service

Jo made this Official Information request to Auckland Transport

Response to this request is long overdue. By law Auckland Transport should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

From: Jo

Dear Auckland Transport,

I received an infringement notice.

It states on the reverse "All payments, queries and correspondence regarding this infringement notice must be directed to the enforcement authority at the address shown on this notice".

However, there is no address on the notice.

Therefore, could you please provide Auckland Transports address for service so that I can make payment. Schedule 4 of the relevant legislative instrument requires you to put this on your infringement notices. Please make sure that, once you have provided me with the address, you put steps in place to provide it to all the poor b*stards you issue these notices too.

To be clear, this is a request for the address. Nothing else. I do not wish to be subjected to the same level of torture I received from your mind numbingly stupid call centre staff who did not understand this.

To be really really clear now, I am not asking what the "usual" methods of payment that "everyone else" uses. I'm looking for the address, so that I can make correct, legal and undisputed payment.

This is necessary because your website is not an acceptable method of payment to the courts.

Yours faithfully,

Jo

Dear Infringements (AT),

No, you may not have the infringement notice number or vehicle registration. This correspondence is being sent over a public website (fyi.org.nz) and so it is not appropriate to forward those details to you now.

In any case, I have made a simple LGOIMA request to ascertain ATs physical address for payment. The details you have requested are not relevant to that request.

It should be noted, that under the provisions of the LGOIMA, your response to this incredibly simple query is overdue.

Yours sincerely,

Jo
