Thank you for the partial transfer received 19 July 2021 to the Minister
of Police, Hon Poto Williams, under the Official Information Act 1982
(OIA), the following information:

“Copies of all reports-back or briefings to the Minister for Police
relating to the development and implementation of this programme, dated
since the programme’s inception.”

The Official Information Act requires that we advise you of our decision
on your request no later than 20 working days after the day we received
your request. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that time
limit and we are therefore writing to notify you that we are extending
this request by 30 working days under section 15A(1)(b), of the OIA of an
extension of the time to make our decision, to 13 September 2021.

This extension is necessary as your request necessitates a search and
required consultations necessary to make a decision on your request are
such that a proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original
time limit.

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of
this decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available at
[1]www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800 802 602.
