Dear Ministry of Health,

Of the approx 1.83 million Covid 19 tests undertaken since testing commenced in January 2020, as of today there have been 2106 confirmed cases.
Please advise of those 2106 confirmed cases, the number that were asymptomatic and the number that had symptoms at time of taking the test.

Thank you for your request for official information received on 22 March
2021 for:

 

"Of the approx 1.83 million Covid 19 tests undertaken since testing
commenced in January 2020, as of today there have been 2106 confirmed
cases. Please advise of those 2106 confirmed cases, the number that were
asymptomatic and the number that had symptoms at time of taking the test."

 

The Ministry's reference number for your request is: H202103259.

 

As required under the Official Information Act 1982, the Ministry will
endeavour to respond to your request no later than 21 April 2021, being 20
working days after the day your request was received.

 

If we are unable to respond to your request within this time frame, we
will notify you of an extension of that time frame.
