I have been asked to advise you that Police requires an extension of time
in which to respond to your request, pursuant to section 15A(1) of the
Official Information Act (OIA). Specifically, section 15A(1)(a), the
request is for a large quantity of official information or necessitates a
search through a large quantity of information and meeting the original
time limit would unreasonably interfere with the operations of the
department or the Minister of the Crown or the organization.
 
Police require until 14 May 2021 to provide a substantive response to your
request.
 
You have the right, under section 28(3) of the OIA, to make a complaint to
an Ombudsman about this extension.

Thank you for your response. I would like to make a follow-up request.

I request copies of these five additional Police Manual parts:

1) Govt agency requests for assistance with search warrants and production orders
2) VIP Security Planning and Operations
3) Policing Parliamentary Precincts
4) Private Investigators requests to Police for assistance
5) Private Security Personnel and Private Investigators

I would also like to request copies of any other parts of the Police Manual or Police Instructions that relate to Private Investigators and Private Security Personnel, not captured by the above.
