I refer to your information request under the Official Information Act (OIA) dated 18 February 2021.

The Official Information Act requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no later than 20 working days after the day we received your request. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that time limit. We are therefore writing to notify you, pursuant to s15A of the OIA, of an extension of the time to make our decision in respect of your request, by a further 7 working days – to 29 March 2021.

This extension is required to allow for consultations necessary to make a decision on your request.

We acknowledge receipt of your further and related request dated 11 March 2021. Given that this request is related to your original request of 18 February, we are proposing to respond to you regarding both requests together.

If you are not satisfied with our extension of time, you have the right to make a complaint to the Ombudsman under section 28(3) of the OIA. However, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss any concerns with you first.

Ngâ mihi

Dear Manager Policy and Compliance,

Thank you for your response.

I'm happy for any names and sensitive information to be redacted but It's not clear to me why I can't have a physical copy emailed to me. Could you please explain this further?

Also, there are already two publications that have been made from this thesis so it must not be embargoed. Please clarify if this statement was incorrect. These are the two publications I'm referring to:
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31177619/
