Are costs paid to each contracted MIQ hotel on a per room basis or a per
person basis for each returnee or person requiring MIQ?
If on a per room basis - please provide the cost paid to each individual
MIQ hotel either as a daily rate, or as a total cost per 14day stay.
If costs are paid per person - please provide the cost paid per person to
each individual MIQ hotel either as a daily rate, or as a total cost per

If there is another basis for payment, please provide that cost for each

As required under the Official Information Act 1982, the Ministry will
endeavour to respond to your request no later than 25 January 2021, being
20 working days after the day your request was received.

On behalf of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment I

(inclusive) are defined as non- working days in the Act and are not
counted in the calculation for the response due date. This will affect the
