[1][FYI request #14823 email]

Dear T Baker

Thank you for your email of 3 March 2021 to the Ministry of Business,
Innovation and Employment (the Ministry) requesting information under the
Official Information Act 1982 (the Act).

Following our email to you of 31 March 2020, it is important to point out
that on arrival into Managed Isolation and Quarantine (MIQ) facilities,
all returnees receive guidance on infection prevention and control through
an arrival letter,  a verbal brief and a Welcome Pack. Additional to this
guidance, individuals are likely to receive advice from health
professionals during health checks and on-site staff may reiterate, where
necessary or requested, advice outlined in the Infection Prevention and
Control (IPC) guide issued by the Ministry of Health or the Welcome Pack.

The IPC guide issued by the Ministry of Health and the MIQ Welcome Pack
are available at:
[2]www.health.govt.nz/system/files/documents/pages/infection-prevention-and-control-ipc-guidance_v1-0.pdf
and
[3]www.miq.govt.nz/being-in-managed-isolation/entering-isolation/welcome-pack/welcome-pack/

The Ministry provided you with a copy of information all returnees are
provided or have access to during their stay at an MIQ facility. These
documents are listed in the document schedule below. Please note that case
and location specific documents, e.g. letters regarding an individual’s
test results, laundry or Wi-Fi instructions for a particular facility, are
not included in this release.

I trust you find the information helpful. You have the right to seek an
investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision. Information
about how to make a complaint is available at
[4]www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800 802 602.

Kind regards
