Dear New Zealand Police,
I am a Resident and Citizen of New Zealand.
The Department of Corrections have recently and belatedly advised through an information sheet that they intend to establish a Corrections Residential Facility at 240 Rangiuru Road, Rangiuru, Western Bay Of Plenty.
In connection to this property and in respect of the calendar years 2019 and 2020 (Corrections has been interacting with Council on this since at least 12 months ago), and in respect of Corrections having verbally advised a neighbour at a small meeting they held that they have interacted with Police as regards this facility, Can you please advise:
1. Dates of any meetings between The Police at a National level and The Department of Corrections and the names of the most senior Police Person present and Department of Corrections Person present as regards this property;
2. Dates of any meetings between The Police at a Regional level and The Department of Corrections and the names of the most senior Police Person present and Department of Corrections Person present as regards this property;
3. Full details of the security and safety arrangements that Police have and or will put in place for the well being of residents of Rangiuru Road outside of those who will be living at 240 Rangiuru Road, particularly as regards to the many older vulnerable and frail people living here;
4. Confirm Te Puke Police capacity to be able to deal with inevetible incidents arising at the proposed Corrections Facility number 240 Rangiuru Road whilst maintaining other normal local area duties;

I would now be pleased to receive the response to my OIA request concerning "Interaction information 240 Rangiuru Road, Rangiuru, Western Bay Of Plenty".
Obviously, the time period allowed for OIA response as defined has now arrived and am very concerned that without this information, Corrections Department will set up their new Corrections Facility at the address and Police capacity to Police the inevitable issues arising will not be there.
