Red Stop/Go Lights on Great South Road/Station Road Traffic Lights
Intersection, 5:30am-5:40am, 07 October 2020

Dear Auckland Transport,

My vehicle was hit by another car at the intersection of Great South Road
and Station Road Penrose, Auckland, between 5:30am to 5:40am last
Wednesday, 7th of October 2020. I already approached the traffic lights of
Great South Road on a go signal heading north going towards the Motor
Highway,  while all of a sudden this other vehicle involved heading
towards Station Road, approached as well the traffic lights on the
intersection. The white car eventually hit my right rear end and just run.
I turn around and went back along the intersection but unfortunately, I
cannot find the vehicle any more. I would like to request a camera footage
to find out more about the other vehicle details such as plate number and
to be use for dispute responsible for the accident and for insurance
purposes.

The accident was between our light gray Honda Stream  (car plate no. MGP
938) and an old model sedan white car.

We are unable to provide you with the information you asked for.

 

On 11/10/2020 you asked for CCTV footage for the intersection of Great Sth
Road / Station Road - Penrose for 7 October 2020 between 0530 - 0540.  
 

Unfortunately, we do not have any footage in relation to your request
because the camera was facing in the opposite direction and did not
capture the incident. Your request is therefore refused under section
17(e) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987
(LGOIMA), as the footage does not exist.  
  

We understand that this isn’t the outcome you hoped for nd I am sorry I
couldn't assist more on this occasion.
