Dear BAW,

Thank you for your request.  We have assessed your request and ask that we
narrow the timeframe to data from June 2018 onwards.
Retrieval of data prior to June 2018 will involve a significantly manual
process that may result in a refusal under substantial collation.

Auckland Council

Dear BAW

I refer to your official information request for information about pre
employment drug testing.
I write to advise that unfortunately we will not be able to communicate a
decision to you within the initial 20 working days.  Under section 14 (1)
(b) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987,
Auckland Council is extending the time limit for responding to your
requests. We will reply to your requests by 21 September 2020. Please note
this is a maximum response time and we will endeavour to respond sooner.

The reason for this extension are:

14 (1) (b)

Consultations necessary to make a decision on the request are such that a
proper response to the request can not reasonably be made within the
original time limit.

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of
this decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available at
[1]www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800 802 602.

Please feel free to contact me at any time to discuss any aspect of the
request, and/or this decision.

Thank you for your patience while we work through your request.

Kind regards

Sarah Parry-Crooke
