Independence declarations
James Smith made this Official Information request to Auckland Council
The request was refused by Auckland Council.
From: James Smith
Dear Auckland Council,
I would like to know the number of unilateral declarations of independence received by Auckland Council since:
a) The advent of the supercity; and
b) The reelection of Len Brown as mayor.
Thank you in advance for your timely response.
Yours faithfully,
James Smith

Dear Fleming, Stephanie,
Thank you for your response to my OIA request. I suggest that you continue to review your records as I know of a number of people, myself included, who have declared independence from the corrupt City of Auckland recently.
I was just interested in how widespread the problem is.
But then lying on OIA requests isn't exactly unknown to corrupt City of Auckland employees.
Yours sincerely,
James Smith
