[Urgent]Daily check-in numbers for contact tracing app
Felix Lee made this Official Information request to Ministry of Health
The request was successful.
From: Felix Lee
Dear Ministry of Health,
I would like to make an OIA request regarding the NZ COVID Tracer app and I would like this handled urgently.
The Privacy Assessment [1] paragraph 31 mentions analytics events are captured "When the Consumer uses the ‘scan location’ feature".
I would like to request:
- the daily number of 'scan location' analytics events for all the days you have data for
I request urgency because COVID is a fast moving event and data is often obsolete by the time we get it if it's delayed even by a week. There is high public interest in making sure the government's tracing app is being widely used.
If possible, can I please ask this data to be proactively released every day on the Ministry's website to save me from making repeated request.
I confirm I am a citizen eligible to make OIA requests.
Thank you for your continued hard work during this crisis.
Yours faithfully,
Felix Lee
