Thanks for your interest in the council’s advisory panels. I am not sure
which advisory panel you are specifically interested in as there have been
a few different processes. However, I will assume you mean the demographic
advisory panels and will answer in relation to that process.
 
As you may already be aware, we have six demographic advisory panels:
disability, ethnic, pacific, rainbow communities, seniors and youth. In
November, the Mayor and Governing Body (councillors) agreed to
re-establish the advisory panels and we started recruitment in early
December. The closing date for applications was 10 February.
 
We are now in the process of shortlisting candidates to identify those who
will be invited to interview. Interviews will start next week and will
take place throughout March. We hope to be able to confirm membership of
the panels in April.

I understand the Council has called for nomination for it's Advisory
Panels. May I ask when the nomination was closed and how is the selection
process goes? And when the Council anticipated to have new panel confirmed
and when the interview will take place?
