Dear Info@Corrections,
Thank you for your response.
I note that s 15A(3) of the OIA requires you to post a notice of an extension within 20 working days after the day on which the request is received. We are now several days past 21 February 2020.
As all I am asking for is for policy guidelines and information on training provided to Female Corrections Officer working in male facilities, I do not really understand the need for you to consult in order to make a decision on the request itself.
This sounds as though you as looking to simply decide whether to respond or to refuse the request which is, as I stated, simply for policy guidelines and information on the training provided to these female officers working in male corrections facilities. This information should be a matter of public information and I would hope the Department of Corrections would not consider this information sensitive in nature as it does not relate to the security of corrections facilities per se.
However, I do look forward to hearing from you on or before 19 March 2020 which is 20 working days from the date that notice was required to be given under the OIA.
Yours sincerely,
H Rogers
