Further to Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency’s response to your request for
information made under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) on 14
January 2020, and following an enquiry from the Office of the Ombudsman,
Waka Kotahi has reviewed its response to you.
In light of that review, Waka Kotahi has decided to release the attached
information to you. Please note that certain information has been withheld
under:
o section 6(c) of the Act in order to avoid prejudicing the maintenance
of the law, including the prevention, investigation, and detection of
offences, and the right to a fair trial; and
o section 9(2)(a) of the Act in order to protect the privacy of natural
persons.
In relation to the information withheld under section 9(2)(a) of the Act,
there are no further considerations which render it desirable, in the
public interest, to make that information available.
Under section 28 of the Act, you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to
investigate and review this decision. You can contact the Office of the
Ombudsman by telephone on 0800 802 602 or through its website at
