Thank you for your email of 14 January 2020 requesting the following information under the 
Official Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
 
Please  provide  a  copy  of  the  detailed  NZTA  operation  orders  for  the  compliance 
operations that the NZTA conducted in Northland together with Police to test the levels of 
compliance amongst logging operators on the 17./18 April 2019 and on the 15 May 2019. 
 
Two documents have been identified as falling within the scope of your request, and are titled: 
 
•  Northland Compliance Operation, dated 17/18 April 2019; and 
•  Northland Compliance Operation, dated 15 May 2019 
 
Both documents have been withheld under section 6(c) of the Act as releasing that information 
would be likely to prejudice the maintenance of the law, including the prevention, investigation, 
and detection of offences, and the right to a fair trial. 
 
Under  section  28  of  the  Act,  you  have  the  right  to  ask  the  Ombudsman  to  investigate  and
