Effects of EQC settlements on the real estate market

Emily Heazlewood made this Official Information request to Toka Tū Ake – Natural Hazards Commission

Toka Tū Ake – Natural Hazards Commission did not have the information requested.

From: Emily Heazlewood

Dear Earthquake Commission,

I am undergoing research throughout Canterbury on the effects of EQC settlements on the real estate market. I would like to request a database of properties within Christchurch which have received an EQC payout over the last 12 months, including, where possible, the address of the property settled, the amount of the claim settled and the date of settlement. This data would provide a means of mapping and measuring the local effects of EQC payouts on the real estate market.

I look forward to your response.

Kindest,
Emily Heazlewood
