Dear Department of Conservation,

Please provide information to show
1 what action was taken to bury or otherwise remove the estimated 1000 plus deer carcasses that were poisoned with 1080 on the Moleworth public land managed by DoC?
2 what action was taken to prevent those deer and other poisoned carcasses contaminating water courses with 1080 poison residues, E coli and/or other contaminants
3 what action was taken to monitor and or assess the above contamination
4 what equipment was used to collect water samples, and if it was plastic what assessment was done to correct for electrostatic 1080 being underreported due to it "sticking" to the plastic
5 what monitoring was done of maggots, microbes and other organisms that broke down the poisoned carcasses and/or residues from 1080 poison baits user in Moleworth and/or to birds and other wildlife that deed on poisoned carcasses or the rest of the affected food chain
6 what assessment was done of health and safety implications of using 1080 poison on public land at the Moleworth including the implications for contaminating water in streams and/or human or stock drinking water, risk to farmed stock, deer, trout and other wild wild foods (including from sub-lethal doses of 1080 poison) and/or from toxins in cereal/poison dust and for staff, hunters and other visitors to molesworth or neighbours of molesworth?
7 what requirements did DoC including in any HSNO s95A authority and/ or any landowner approval with opspi and/ or contractors to address/ manage and/ or require any monitoring or information about any of the above
Thank you
Yours faithfully,

Sue Grey
