Dear Louise Beard [DPMC],
I refer you to the recent final opinion of the Chief Ombudsman on your refusal to release the agenda from the first Cabinet meeting of the Ardern Ministry.
Mr Boshier was of the opinion that your interpretation was incorrect as, among other things, it amounted to a "blanket refusal" and in any case public interest in Cabinet meetings is likely to override any reason to withhold.
Your office therefore agreed to release the requested Cabinet agenda, which after several weeks of "administrative oversight" and further inquiry by myself you finally transmitted to me.
Given the above, please explain how this latest decision does not amount to yet another blanket refusal and how the level of public interest does not override any reason you may Cote for withholding?
