Dear New Zealand Police,
can you please provide me with all Reports, memos, letters, notes, advice and emails related to the complaint made at Whangarei police station Ref-180220/5896.

If information needs to be withheld I would like to request that, where possible, excisions are made rather than withholding the full document. Please let me know if you wish me to clarify my request.

I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the fyi.org.nz website.

For the purposes of OIA Section 12 I am both a NZ citizen and in New Zealand which satisfies the requirements. I am happy to provide evidence of this if you provide a direct email address. I am not willing to submit to presenting myself at a Police station with "suitable identification" as this is not a requirement for anyone making an OIA request. I am also unwilling to fill out a specific OIA request form. As the Office of the Ombudsman have made clear on a number of occasions, valid OIA requests are possible through any and all official channels for a department, extending as far as Twitter and Facebook accounts.
