Nearly 5 years on and only 15 TVNZ titles online??

Joss J. made this Official Information request to Ministry for Culture and Heritage

The request was successful.

From: Joss J.

Dear Ministry for Culture and Heritage,

Nga Taonga Sound & Vision has so far received around $10 million dollars of public funding to manage the TVNZ archive collection and make it more accessible online.

On 3 September 2018 I wrote to you inquiring about the ongoing lack of TVNZ archive content online. At that stage Nga Taonga had 0 viewable TVNZ archive titles on their website. Now seven months later, I tried another search of their catalog and found only 15 TVNZ titles viewable.

My OIA request to the Ministry is:

1. Please supply all official information that the Ministry holds from 1 July 2018 onwards relating to TVNZ archive titles being made available (or not available) online.

2. Please supply the last three six-monthly reports that Nga Taonga have submitted to the Ministry.

3. Please supply the quarterly reports Nga Taonga submitted to the Ministry for Apr-May-Jun2018, Jul-Aug-Sep2018, Oct-Nov-Dec2018 and Jan-Feb-Mar2019.

4. Please supply the Prioritization policy, as outlined in the current Memorandum of Understanding between the Minister and Nga Taonga.

Yours faithfully,

Joss J.
